The project Cubes in Motion, was conceived to propose a modular system for the promotion of the productive-territorial and historical-cultural identity of excellence of the biellese artisans, through the construction of cubes that express a quality of life that becomes the quality of the product. It represents in an exemplary way, the synthesis and the result of an extraordinary work of coordination that, without being too triumphal, the Biella CNA and Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto have wished for and have been able to guide from the very beginning.
The result is very much the basis for the activities that an entrepreneurial association should carry out: promotion and aggregation of a business, the development of their economic activities and promotion of the territory in which they operate. Yet, the realisation of Cubes in Motion has superseded our expectations!
The uniqueness of this project can be found in the unification of the creativity of young artists with the craftsmanship of artisans, producing true art objects that can be appreciated for what they are, what they represent and what they contain. Several years have gone by since the chosen local companies of producers proposed this project to the Biella CNA.
Presently almost seven years on, the project remains valid and even ready to be developed further. The initial idea of exhibiting the participating companies’ products in a strong and unified way is still valid today. Here the premise: to present the craftsmanship of excellence of the biellese and piedmontese master artisans, to construct a product for new market niches in quality furnishings and to become symbols and ambassadors of excellence of the Biella district, a diverse but homogenous territory where the difference in excellence is the common value.
In delicate times such as these in which our territory, our nation and our world are living, the result of this project can claim to truly be the Embassy of Biella and Piedmont Territory and to contribute towards linking and participating in that revival in the economy that we know is not too far away.
